The J. Douglas Ferguson Historical Research Foundation

The foundation supports a range of numismatic and related projects and activities. It publishes books and has provided funds to assist in the publication by authors seeking financial support. It makes grants to non-profit organizations and individuals for audio-visual presentations and to encourage original research leading to publication. It encourages the donation of books it assists in financing to libraries in leading universities museums and archives in major cities. It also provides scholarships to various canadian universities to encourage numismatic research. The foundation has created a website: the canadian numismatic resources website (cnr) as an online repository of canadian numismatic resources such as digitized articles books journals reports manuscripts and other documents related to canadian numismatics and monetary history.
