The J.A.V. David Museum Inc.

We are a small town community museum whose mission is to servce the citizens of the killarney / turtle mountain municipality by preserving our ongoing history and asking community members to share their personal and family histories written and or verbal forms. We offer tours of our collections to school children and to senior homes both local and surrounding communities. We have a volunteer board of directors of 3 people with 3 to 4 regular volunteers with a total of 1427 volunteer hours for the year. We host regular yearly events such as manitoba day tea canada day tea music in the park 2 events for culture days rememberance day event and christmas tea. We do our utmost to care for our building and its contents by regular maintenance and cleaning we have green space adjacent to our building that we also care for planting flowers and trimming hedges. We have been continuing to digitize our collection as grant money allows catalogueing both old and new artifacts and research articals as they come in.
