The Holgan88 Foundation

The holgan88 foundation has established an initial fund to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom time to time to qualified donees as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada). It is in the continual process of investigating potential qualified donees that it wishes to make gifts to and transfer funds and/or assets to the selected recipients. It is using expert volunteers including joint venures with Universities to conduct research to study and systematically investigate the best methods processes and technology to educate and enhance knowledge for stakeholders to understand and take the right action to preserve our environment. It is funding the software and tools (including generative AI) that these experts require to efficiently conduct their research. Furthermore the advent of AI achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is growing increasingly plausible. Although AGI could provide substantial benefits as a sophisticated assistant it might also pose a risk of becoming an autonomous and potentially invasive entity. In a worst-case scenario it could compete directly with us and present an existential threat to humanity. Our responsibility therefore lies in ensuring that this powerful technology is harnessed for our collective benefit without compromising the safety and sustainability of our planet or the survival of humankind. So in addition to educating and enhancing knowledge for stakeholders to understand and take the right action to preserve our physical environmenant the stakeholders need to better understand AGI so they can maximize it benefits while preventing it from becoming an invasive overlord. With this knowledge they can take necessary actions to ensure a better future for us and our planet.
