The Hannaford Street Silver Band

1. Produce a series of 4 subscriptions concerts of The Hannaford Street Silver Band in Toronto each year. 2. Do performances in some communities within driving distance of Toronto. 3. Regularly commission Canadian composers to write new works for the brass band idiom. 4. Promote Canadian talent and music by engaging Canadian soloists and conductors and by performing Canadian music. 5. Three bands for students Junior Senior and Community ranging in age from 10 to university; doing rehearsals concerts and training the young people in music and brass playing. 6. Perform educational concerts for the York Region Board of Education exposing hundreds of students to varied music and high-quality performances. 7. Through these activities and programs we expose the public and youth to a wide range of music and high-quality performance increasing their knowledge and appreciation of music
