The Great Divide Trail Association

Trail building and maintenance trips - primarily to construct a 45-km stretch of the great divide trail (gdt) - the high rock section- and do maintain 100-km of trail previously built by the gdta. These trail trips primarily occur on public land north of the crowsnest pass although our work continues to expand to other areas of alberta and into pieces of the trail in the bc as well. Thebackground activity for these trips is planning designing and surveying the great divide trail as well as coordination ofmaintenance. These trips are organized by the 15-member trail building and maintenance committee and occur during thesummer period of june to september - providing up-to-date trip planning resources for gdt hikers amd equestrians on our website and social media; - presenting educational and safety workshops and events for gdt trail users volunteers and the general public; and
