1. Semi Annual Garbage Pickup-Adopt A Highway- Highway 2 in South Stormont- April and October 10 volunteers each time for 2-3 hours. 2. Maintain pollinator garden and Monarch Waystation UCMBS 3. Maintain Bird Nesting boxes Purple Martin house Duck boxes and turtle boxes. UCMBS 4. Maintain walking ski and snowshoe trails. UCMBS 5. Winter Program- Jan -March every weekend 12-4 3-4 volunteers each day= 448 volunteer hours renting skis and snowshoes manning Visitor’s center for washrooms warm up. 6. Educational programs for school groups Girl Guides families. Bird watching walks forest walks tick awareness turtle awareness pollinator awareness. 2-3 volunteers various times as requested.7. Kids Nature Zone. A 1 day free event for families focus on activities and education on various nature topics. Monarchs track identification making bird feeders bees turtles etc. 15 volunteers for 6 hours. 8. Seniors Learn To Ski- an introduction to Cross-Country Skiing for local seniors. 2 volunteers for 3 hours 9. March Break Activities- free or low cost activities for school aged children during March Break such as crafts nature study outdoor activities 3-5 volunteers each day for 5 hours.10. Family Day – low cost family oriented activities and BBQ – 5 volunteers for 5 hours. 11. Produce newsletter to members with reporting on activities articles of interest and resources.
