The Friends of Battle Island Lighthouse

To protect and preserve significant heritage sites by restoring developing and maintaining the battle island lighthouse and its surrounding lands with a view to commemorating the site and educating the public and to undertake activities ancillary to the attainment of the above charitable purpose. Pursuing funding to increase the length of the dock allowing larger watercraft to drop off passengers to visit the site. Also to purchase golf cart that carries more passengers for when visitors form the cruise ship tours come to visit the lighthouse to cut down on wait time in getting visitors to the site. To promote the lighthouse tour to visiting cruise ships via increased advertising.
