The Festival of the Tartans Committee

The 2023 return (t3010) indicated the festival was inactive and slated for winding up. Since then a new organizing group began the work of revitalization and to bring the festival under the administration of the st. Andrew's society of pictou county. A separate amendment to the 2023 return is being prepared. The st. Andrew's society of pictou county is a registered society in nova scotia but does not have a business (bn) number. As in former years the festival brings elements of culture to the cradle of the scots in new scotland (nova scotia). Each year pipers dancers fiddlers and gaelic-speakers gather to remember the past.
