The Equality Effect

The Equality Effect uses human rights law to achieve concrete change in the lives of women and girls in Ghana Kenya and Malawi - change that will improve the health safety and standard of living of women and girls. 16 Girls: the '160 Girls' project is a legal initiative that aims to achieve justice and protect against rape for all girls in Kenya and Malawi. 3 to be free: An action plan to address the legal impunity for marital rape in 3 countries (Kenya Ghana and Malawi) in 3 years using 3 strategies: education policy reform and litigation. The Customary Law Project: The relationship between customary law and womens rights is of particular importance as it relates to the advancement of womens human rights.
