The Eleanor Drury Children's Theatre

2023/2024 season performance of Shakespeare High lead by artists with a script and production developed in collaboration with our cast of youth ages 6 to 18 and delivered to Thunder Bay schools and the local community at Magnus Theatre. Activities included engagement of artists (Director Production Manager Stage Manager Assistants Costume Designer Arts Educator etc.) registration of youth weekly sessions/rehearsals geared to the development of self confidence and self expression through theatre skills learning and preparing stage performances in a supported and inclusive environment. Supporting activities included coordinating volunteers fundraising venue and equipment setup costume/prop and set development community outreach and in school workshops advertising and ticket sales and ongoing operating activities and planning for next season. New programs included 1. A theatre program 'If I Could I Would' a community-engaged script-writing and performance project with local children's organization group The Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay funded by the Thunder Bay Community Foundation. 2. Summer theatre camp in partnership with the Gillies Community Centre.
