The core program of the cooking fire theatre festival is producing the river clyde arts season in new glasgow prince edward island which runs from june through december of each year. The flagship event of the river clyde arts season is the river clyde pageant (est. 2016) which rallies hundreds of local creatives volunteers and professional artists of all ages in the making of a magical outdoor theatre specticle performed at the end of july and beginning of august each year. Complementing the pageant is the vibrant and eclectic sharing the field harvest festival (est. 2021) in october and the luminous river clyde solstice walk (est. 2020) in november and december. Programming primarily takes place in the village of new glasgow with select workshop programs delivered in charlottetown summerside rustico and milton pei. The river clyde arts season celebrates local talent & stories offers opportunities for creative skills development & mentorship and delivers accessible and unparalleled programming that values artistic risk long-term engagement and environmental stewardship. These activities have allowed us to grow the communities interacting with the organization throughout the year promoting more cross-generational and cultural exchange and more opportunities for social connection. There were no new programs in 2024. Instead the organization focused on strengthening its existing season.
