The Charlottetown Film Society Inc.

The charlottetown film society provides opportunities in our community for the study appreciation and celebration of film and the moving image as culturally significant art forms. The society is operating city cinema which is an independent cinema that has operated for over 20 years. The film society also makes city cinema space available to community groups for affordable rentals for private and public screenings by community non-profit and other groups to further film appreciation. The society also participates in canadian film day and other cinematic events. Our signature event is the charlottetown film festival which is in its tenth year. The festival showcases atlantic films and brings together the creators and consumers of cinema providing workshops panels and guest speakers.
