The charles h. Best centre (founded in 1989) is a one-of-a-kind community healthcare centre (charitable organization) exclusively serving patients and families living with type 1 diabetes. We offer state-of-the-art clinical programming and services based on a truly integrated and collaborative care model. Our educators include registered nurses registered dietitians registered social workers registered practical nurse administrative team and an executive director. We are affiliated with many physicians both pediatric and adult who run clinics at our centre. Our unique services include: after hours on-call clinical educator service for newly diagnosed & urgent patients comprehensive school and outreach programs advanced knowledge translation and education for health professionals and extensive patient training for insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring initiation and education.
