Annual conference- provides forum for researchers to present new research & receive comments; annual members' meeting; subsidizes phd students to attend phd workshops; presents leading edge programs for post-secondary educators; provides various workshops to stimulate discussion research & learning in different fields; pd day. Publications - 1. Ap: quarterly applied accounting research journal; 2. Car: quarterly pur accounting research journal. Annual 'car' research conference - presentation of leading edge research papers for discussion & criticism; provide phd junior faculty consortium to promote research in canada & stimulate scholarly activity. Awards- call for nominations for top teaching (rosen) and top research (falk) awards; adjudicate & select winnders. Run peer-reviewed contests for innovative teaching (teall) & best cases; george baxter award for outstanding contributions to the caaa. Research - offer research grant programs for canadian post-secondary professors to write article-length research. Canadian accounting hall of fame - recognizes and honours individuals who have made significant development of the canadian accounting profession. Other- special interest research and teaching groups junior scholars.
