The British Columbia Pipers' Association

The mission of the bc pipers association is to foster and preserve bagpipe music and scottish highland drumming. Activities to accomplish include: -bi-annaul solo competitions for pipers and drummers held in november and february. -annual major indoor competition for pipers drummers and pipe bands in april. For this competition we bring in canadian and internationaladjudicators to ensure the competitve and skill levels of our members is being maintained. -we support other highland games associations in our area. -we provide seminars for judges volunteers and highland gathering committees. -we provide a competitor management system for all of our competitors ro accumulate aggregate points and participate in a season award. -we provide an annual volunteer thank you event. -we support an annual fundraiser event honouring one of our life members. -we offer travel prozes for representtives of the bcpa to compete in eastern canada scotland and usa. -we managea website and social media pages to communicate news results events adn educational items to our membership and the public this year we provided educational online education seminars -we were awarded a new competition sancioned by the royal scottish pipe band association for drummers enabling the winners to compete in the world solo championships held in scotland in october.
