The Bishop of the Arctic

Carry out religious activities Christian mission and outreach to communities throughout the Northwest Territories Nunavut and the Nunavik region of Quebec including but not limited to the following; 1. Support and development of Christian congregations in those communities especially through the operation of places of worship and parish halls in the Anglican tradition providing weekly worship services and ongoing pastoral care. 2. Training of new clergy and lay leaders including operation of a training college for ministers. 3. Running diocese-wide ministry including ministries to youth and elders. 4. The translation of religious worship and educational resources into the Inuktitut Inquinnaqtun and Inuviluktun languages 5. Encourage train and equip Northerners to effectively offer the hope and healing found in the Good News of Jesus Christ to their family friends and neighbours throughout the region. The ongoing development and translation of Christian addiction-recovery grief-support and suicide prevention programming especially those in Indigenous languages.
