The Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living

The Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living empowers seniors to lead active creative and healthy lifestyles in a Jewish environment. The Centre serves approximately 5 600 seniors annually of whom approximately 2 200 are paid Centre members. The agency operates 6 days a week primarily from its single site facility. Approximately 120 programs are offered weekly and are comprised of a variety of recreational educational wellness and community support services offered on site and also virtually. Additionally we have a Food Services Department which operates a 'Meals on Wheels' program Cafeteria and supports internal and external catering. We delivered free meals to around 620 seniors who are in need with the financial assistance from several parties including UJA of Greater Toronto. Bernard Betel Centre’s Meals on Wheels program which offers nutritious kosher food delivered by volunteers to homebound seniors. We have started delivering FREE meals to 620 vulnerable seniors who are financially and physically incapable of securing their basic food.
