Through art performances exhibitions research education and collaboration with other leading national and international institutions the museum's unique mandate aims to impact lives and contribute to more inclusive and peaceful societies. In 2024 the aga khan museum presented a series of new exhibitions including light: visionary perspectives which showcased the hidden force that has shaped history and which continues to influence our perceptions emotions and understanding of each other and the world around us; celebrating the past reimaging the future which celebrated the museum 10-year history; moon a mesmerizing 5-metre diameter moon installation; muqarnas: form and light a selection of photographs by toronto-based artist '...' featuring the stunning diversity of muqarnas in islamic architecture; my silk road to you and nomadized suprematism two photography exhibitions by '...'; and #hopeandhealingcanada an installation by 'métis-canadian artist '...' in the aga khan park. Enlighten x global toronto music festival took place in september to celebrate the museum’s 10th anniversary. Season 4 of the museum's podcast this being human launched in early 2024. The museum partnered with toronto public library for islamic heritage month programming and delivered the annual couchiching conference. Additionally the museum created and delivered a variety of educational programs from school students to adult leaners including joy: the art of connection a new partnership with the peel district school board and create and connect a program designed to bring seniors together. All programs and activities were designed to engage with diverse local national and global
