The 127 Society for Housing

The 127 society for housing provides affordable accommodation in vancouver's downtown south for low-income older people and assists them with theirpersonal and social needs. We provide a total of 330 suites in three apartment buildings: jubilee house brookland court and the wellspring; each usual maintenance and janitorial staff the society supports a full-time community worker in each building. While the cmhc and bc housing provide basic funding the society raises funds to support the buildings' community workers two low-cost food shops for tenants a thrift store housekeeping assistance wuth tenance' aging in place community meals a workshop other tenant activities and community-worker liaison and representation with health and service agencies.
