Relieve suffering and distress of families by providing meals and/or aid in the home to those primarily but not exclusively in the Jewish community confronted with acute situations that temporarily compromise the ability of a principal homemaker to manage or provide care to his or her family or that impede an individual's independent living. These circumstances include but are not limited to: illness significant life-cycle events catastrophic events and family crisis. Provide short term support services primarily but not exclusively in the Jewish community including personal care counseling and mentoring housekeeping meals nursing shopping assistance visitations and transportation to medical appointments to those in need due to acute illness death or loss of employment.
