Tag is committed to challenging and strengthening our art community by selecting and initiating innovative and critical exhibitions providing arts education and workshops and creating partnerships within our community to reach new audiences. We aim to serve the anglo franco and indigenous populations of south timiskaming and provide targeted programming for every age of life. Tag provides 6-8 high-quality exhibitions annually with education opportunities during every exhibition for every age. These include school visits workshops with the earlyon centre for children ages 0-6 workshops for children and adults with professional artists free artists talks and speaker lectures. In the summer tag hosts a junior artist camp and an 8-week long art and music festival called art in the park. Tag has recently undertaken the curation of travelling exhibitions including benjamin chee chee: life and legacy '...' a life and works illuminated and the adams mine archive project. In 2024 and 2025 tag has initiated new public art programs including community murals and an accessible graffiti wall in the downtown core on temiskaming shores. Tag has also extended the gallery's open hours by hosting art after dark on friday evenings monthly and extended hours on tuesdays.
