About Tali's Fund
Tali’s Fund was founded in 2008 after our 4 year old daughter Tal Doron passed away after a battle with ATRT (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumour) an extremely rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. The goal of Tali’s Fund is to help fund vital research by qualified donees aimed at learning more about pediatric brain tumours (causes treatments and cure) as well as to help provide support to families with children battling brain tumours. We strive to be connected with other similar organizations and funds around the world. Tali’s Fund has had a significant impact over the years funding critical research in the area of childhood brain cancer research with a central goal of moving the needle further in the area of treatment. Website: www.talisfund.org Our official core purpose is: to receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal income therefrom from time to time to qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1 (1) of the income tax act (Canada). In doing so we seek to: 1) Promote health by providing comfort items and support to families with a child who is diagnosed with brain cancer in order to help them cope with the child’s hospitalization or health condition; and (2) undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the above charitable purposes. With respect to (1) and (2) above this will strictly be accomplished through donations to qualified donees.
