Surprise Lake Society

The surprise lake society operates and maintains the surprise lake camp. We are 100% volunteer run and this 2023 season had 1037 documented hours from our volunteers. The camp was a happy gathering place for girl guides the mcman group (group homes) a wedding some family gatherings and some musical events. We had numerous work weekends for different upgrading projects. Our base of volunteers within the local community and with camp alumni. We are determined to do as many community collaborations as we can to broaden our volunteer base. This includes working with the local friendship centre bringing in nature alberta to do environment education favilitating bush craft skill courses water safety training certification music workshops and other programs as interested facilitators come to us.
