We are a community resource delivering programming in a creative informed and unique way. All programs and activities are designed in collaboration with the communities we serve. All new programming is derived from the following core programs: Weekly daytime drop-in Program: provides basic support and harm reduction services to populations experiencing homelessness trauma mental health and may be substance users. Services focus on building relationship through meeting the individual where they are at meaning all services are individually focused and lead entirely by those requesting services. Sunday Brunch: This program branched off from the regular day time drop-in program and focuses on a nice meal and social time although covid and the numbers of individuals being served has changed the essence of this program in 2022 we are trying to develop creative ways to get this program back on track. Like That Program: This evening drop-in program serves the 2SLGBTQQIA+ communities. This group is very active in the Winnipeg art's scene through the Drag Group 'Sunshine Bunch' . The Sunshine Bunch also do Drag Bingo's to raise money however due to covid19 Bingo's where postponed until later in 2022. Street Feet Program: This program focuses on foot health and is linked to our daytime & evening drop-in program . Gizhiwenimin(New Comers Program): This program is a primary contact point for newcomers 2SLGBTQQIA+ refugee claimants to receive assistance with navigating the Refugee Board hearing process social service programs and basic support services offered here at Sunshine House. Shelter Diversion Program: Offering assistance to women and 2SLGBTQQIA+ experiencing homelessness trauma and domestic violence Trans I.D. Clinic: This program began in February of 2022 and will continue until June 2023 the goal is to provide financial assistance to individuals requiring legal name changes & support services. Vaccine Clinic: Clinic's continue to run quarterly. M
