About Sunshine Coast Community Services Society
Family Youth & Children's Services programs are family-centered inclusive and promote active participation in supporting pregnant women new moms parents caregivers children and youth. We also provide programs in prevention intervention and support for youth and children with a developmental delay or diagnosed disability. Services to youth include life skills development outreach and one to one support with a focus on community inclusion and client-centred practice. Programs include: Parent Tot Drop in Bellies & Babies Childcare Resource and Referral Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program Perinatal Substance Abuse Infant Development Supported Child Development Early Intervention Physiotherapy Kids in Motion Supported Services to Children with mental and/or physical challenges Child and Family Counseling PEACE/SAIP/CMH counseling programs Youth in Transition Youth Outreach Circle of Support Indigenous Wellness Liaison Dads Matter program Teen Mindfulness in partnership with the YMCA and Infant massage. Together Against Violence programs support people whose lives have been impacted by violence and trauma. Programs provide crisis intervention shelter counselling advocacy and non-judgmental emotional and practical support. Programs include: 1st and 2nd stage transition houses Women's Counseling Police and Community Based Victim Services Community Based Victim Services - Youth Outreach and Women's Outreach. Community Action and Engagement programs are all about people helping people – nurturing connections linking to resources and building the support that enables our community to thrive. Programs include: Volunteer Program Food Bank Community Gardens Arrowhead Clubhouse Legacy housing for people with mental illness Thrift Store Better at Home for Seniors Keeping People Housed program and the Navigator.
