The Vision of the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention is to promote mental well-being raises awareness eliminate stigma and educate to reduce suicide suicidal behaviors and their impacts. To Raise Awareness and create conversations surrounding suicide and mental well-being acknowledging that talking about suicide is lifesaving. To Foster Hope and resiliency by providing individuals families and agencies with knowledge and resources to support living well. To Empower our community by facilitating skill building safe communication and promoting the value of self-care. Tough Enough To Talk About It is a comprehensive mental health program created specifically for Trades Industry and Agriculture. Tough Enough recognizes the unique nature risks and rewards of these demanding sectors and their impact on mental health and well-being. The innovative facilitated presentations and program content is designed to equip employees at all levels with tools to create a safer workplace and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace. Community Helpers Program (CHP) is an Alberta Health Service funded certificate program. This free training initiative is available to schools workplaces and community organizations for people who have a natural tendency to help others. The Community Helpers Program strengthens an individual’s existing supportive skills and provides the knowledge necessary to support the mental health and well-being of others through a variety of topics: effective communication self-care healthy boundaries the ethics of helping handling crisis situations and suicide awareness. Being a youth is hard we are here to help. Youth face a number of unique challenges and stressors and often aren’t sure where to go for support. Our youth mental health programming offers safe spaces and opportunities for youth to connect and learn that they aren’t alone in this world or in their struggles.
