About Sudbury Community Service Centre
Sudbury community service centre provides support and advocacy to over 400 adults and their families diagnosed as developentally disabled enabling them to integrate into the community to the fullest extent possible. The credit counselling program was closed effective january 31 2022. The agency also provides support to low income individuals and first nations people to reduce financial barriers and increase the financial well-being of ontarians living in or high risk poverty. Emphasis on programs is: 1) services for developmentlly disabled 98% 2) financial services for low-income and first nations people 2% no new programs yet a partnership with desjardins ontario credit union is in the planning stages. The program will be part of the financial empowerment programs currently being run at our agency. Our agency will provide administrative services for desjardins to administer small personal loans for clients. It is expected that is program will start in june 2024.
