About Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation
Funding for grants is provided to the Stollery Children's Hospital the University of Alberta the Women and Children's Health Research Institute the Mental Health Foundation and Alberta Health Services for research and education equipment and technology infrastructure excellence innovative programming and mental health. New in 2024 funding was provided to the Ben Stelter Foundation to support their initiatives in advances in children's health including medical equipment for children supporting outcome-based research for pediatric cancers and providing magical experiences for kids battling cancer. Also new in 2024 funding was provided to a non-qualified donee the Serdachny Elevate Foundation registered under the Societies Act of Alberta; the grant funding will be used to support children and youth in healthy active living through sport. In accordance with CRA Guidance CG-032 (registered charities making grants to non-qualified donees) our Foundation's management completed a review of the grant request of the non-qualified donee completed a risk evaluation and provided and reviewed accountability requirements to the non-qualified donee.
