Stewart Food Bank Community Meals Program and Poverty Reduction. Support for the School Lunch program and PAC Programs working with the seniors on the New Horizons grant Community Connectedness through community health initiatives. Community Meals Program supported seniors and low income residents twice monthly thanks to the help of many volunteers and the part time Food Security Support Worker. Seniors support initiatives helps seniors with lawn maintenance and hosted socials to promote togetherness and help seniors fight the feeling of isolation. Community Gardens supported seniors and school classes with in-ground and raised garden beds as well as small greenhouses. The Golden Triangle Gym continues to provide a 24/7 fitness facility. Home Support services are provided thanks to funding from Northern Health. Lead organization on many community events. A grant from Northern Health helped us to establish the CareShare Cupboard. We can now loan at-home medical equipment to anyone in the community who needs assistance.
