About Stewards of the Little Campbell River Society
The society provides financial assistance for activities associated with the enduring health of the little campbell river that is essential for salmon habitat. The environmental and volunteer activities supported by the society are vital to sustain the salmon species in the river. Support where appropriate would also be proivded to citizen groups opposing irresponsible development in the watershed that would potentially impact the little campbell river. The charity disbursed some funding to two non-qualified donees (grantees) to further charitable activities of the charity. Little campbell watershed society: funding support for a feasibilty study for habitat enhancements of mcnally creek headwaters. The lcws together with the friends of mcnally creek semiahmoo forst nation cify of surrey engineering city of white rock engineering staff ubc civil engineering in conjunction with kerr-leidal-associates' environmentally responsible expertise are working to address these concerns with action. Friends of semiahmoo bay society: funding support for continued sampling of spawning gravels for forage fish (surf smelt & sand lance) working with the coastal forage fish network and dfo under their advisement and support as well as continued monitoring of and trapping the invasive european green crab in boundary bay through a commitment with dfo.
