Steel Wheels Quad Rugby Club

The charity continued to provide members the opportunity to participate in regular wheelchair rugby practices and tournaments. Equipment and wheelchairs were purchased to facilitate the on-going programs. The Club continues to promote awareness of the challenges of the physically disabled and provides support and guidance to those who sustain permanent debilitating injuries. The Club donated several old chairs to the Maritimes. This opened up opportunities for other disabled Canadians to play the sport of wheelchair rugby. The Club also sold several chairs to a wheelchair rugby club in Red Deer thus providing more opportunities to play the sport and enhance the league across Alberta.
