St. Stephen's Trust Society

The anglican synod of british columbia has not to date acted upon its previously announced decision to dis-establish st. Stephen's church and sell its lands and buildings. St. Stephen's church continues to be an active anglican church. Consequently there is no current need for st. Stephen's trust society to take active steps to prevent the sale of st. Stephen's church lands and buildings or to purchase the lands and buildings from the anglican synod. St. Stephen's trust society continues to wait for the final decision of the anglican synod with respect to the future of st. Stephen's church. As the anglican synod has not reversed its decision to dis-establish st. Stephen's church and sell its lands and buildings it is important that st. Stephen's trust society remain in existance. The covid-19 pandemic added considerable uncertainty to the future of st. Stephen's church as an active anglican church. In addition st. Stephen's church is currently not in a strong financial position.
