St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church

The primary purpose of st. Stephen protomartyr ukrainian catholic church is a welcoming community centered in gospel and family values to grow its relationship with god and others through prayer sacraments and service. Worship services consist of two sunday liturgies weekday liturgies (tuesday - friday) and saturday vesper service and liturgy. Feast days & holy days of obligation are commemorated with divine liturgies. On-going programs include: religious education (sunday school first holy communion bible study summer bible camp mission speakers marriage preparation); pastoral care (prayer group jesus prayer 33/100 prayer shawl ministry operation st. Nicholas coats for kids support network which provides support encouragement and help to parishioners facing difficulties helping others network which provides the needy with surplus household furnishings and clothing) ukraine newcomer support provides assistance to ukraine refugees in calgary primarily related to basic needs english language and housing. Cultural programs include ukrainian language classes youth young adults and senior programming. K of c provides financial aid and support for members and their families. Ucwlc respond to parish and community needs through volunteers and pastoral works. Charity programs include international charity family support and local charity support with contributions made within the parish calgary and alberta and to charities in 2nd and 3rd world countries. There were no new programs established in 2024.
