St. Martins United Baptist Church

The church has one employee and that is the pastor. His job is to minister god's word to the church members congregation and community. He does this by preaching at our church services every sunday morning and by holding a weekly bible study group and a weekly prayer group. We also have a prayer chain on facebook to keep our church up to date of events happening in people's lives that need prayer. All other programs in the church are run by volunteers. P.u.s.h. Crew is a program for young children to introduce them to the church and teach them to 'pray until something happens'. We opened our fitness center to the community as a way to encourage people to come to the church. There is also a weekly quilting group. The church donates money to support other organizations as a way to have a farther reach in its mission. The church has always supported the baptist convention by donating to united missions and the chaplaincy fund. We donate to charities such as camp tulakadik sj kings association and acadia divinity college so that they can continue with their like-minded mission as well. Our biggest donations goes to s.o.o. That stands for source of support and they offer a temporary food relief for those in need. In 2024 they helped our community by providing 14 families with 200.00 food cards and 4 individuals with 100.00 food cards. The church held multiple funerals and hosted 7 funeral receptions. The church trustees volunteer to maintain the church and parsonage. Chimes of change was a new program started in 2024. The focus of this group was to look for ways to attract newcomers and eventually grow membership. Our church is a small church with an lederly population and in order to sustain we must grow our congregation. A committee was formed and they planned a 'big day' on october 6th in order to attract the community.
