St Mark`s Lutheran Church

Hold weekly worship services online and in-person; assist in planning and delivering ecumenical worship services; provide pastoral care and counseling; conduct adult spirituality grouped; conduct youth ministry (Spirit Queery a group for college students with intentional affirmation of 2SLGBTQIA+ persons) and participate in another church's youth ministry (Canterbury Club); conduct children's ministry (Sunday School Confirmation Class) online and in-person; donate funding and time to local social ministry programs such as Our Livable Solutions; support local charities such as the Food Bank and Martha's Table; support denominational charity Canadian Lutheran World Relief; provide funding for our Eastern Synod for its ministries; support social programs within the church such as book club; offer subsidized space for local social programs such as AA; support refugee families to settle in Canada by supporting KEYS (local agency responsible for settling government-sponsored refugees; seek to be a good neighbour in our community for example by speaking at and attending a rally in support of the unhoused. Designed advertised and hosted 'Trail Mix' a monthly workshop and lunch focused on emotional and spiritual health and incorporating music and movement. Intended for the larger community. Donated the pastor's work while compensating church musician and office administrator as contract employees out of grant funding for this project.
