St Hilda's-St Luke's Anglican Church

We contributed to primate world relief development fund; discretionary donation to families in distress ( food and other essentials) in our community. We conduct christian worship and ministry following the liturgy of the anglican church of canada and offer christian education for children and adults along with pastrol care. A supervised nursery is available for infants & younger children. Sunday services include volunteers who perform the duites of lay readers administrators at the eucharist intercessors sing in our choir and care for our altar and 'holy hardware'. Our church groups were able to conduct fundraising activities which support our church and provide outreach to individuals community agencies and qualified donees. Member offerings donations and facility rentals assist in making these programs possible. We have approximately 120 parishioners with at least 75% of them who volunteer countless hours contributing to the success of our church. We also have members serving on a local settlement committee providing support to new canadian families ( immigrants or refugees) we have a parish nurse here at st.hilda's-st.luke's anglican church. She is a member of our church she has been a nurse outside of the church & she took specific training courses in order to become our parish nurse. She is able to provide blood pressure clinics for all members of our church on a regular basis & also continues to plan speaker series on several topics that are of interest to our parishioners & our community. Some of these topics keep us current on what is happening in the community of st. Thomas. It has been a well-received program. She spends countless hours preparing the program as parish nurse as well as visiting parishioners who are unable to attend church due to medical issues. Our priest-in-charge is preparing so that parishioners unable to attend church can zoom into our weekly services and still feel a part of our church.
