Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) has a long history of delivering charitable programs. Specialized Health Organization F9 SAC is dedicated to supporting its current and future communication health professionals. As part of this commitment SAC is proud to offer 26 scholarships annually to students in speech-language pathology and audiology programs. Similarly SAC’s Clinical Research Grant Program awards monetary grants to support researchers who are furthering the clinical evidence base in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology in Canada. SAC’s annual Awards & Recognition Program recognizes and celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology. Public Education C10 The association is also committed to championing the needs of people with communication disorders which includes developing resources for its members and associates as well as the general public. SAC develops public awareness posters and information sheets to educate the public about communication disorders and the association’s website acts as a 'hub' for communication health in Canada with extensive information and detailed resource pages. SAC offers a certification program to support continuing education needs for its members and offers annual conferences alongside webinars and webcasts to support lifelong learning. Research C11 Each year SAC develops and publishes a number of position papers and statements on key professional issues. These timely resources are developed by committees of professional subject matter experts and provide information and guidance on important topics. In addition SAC publishes our scientific journal 'CJSLPA' The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA) is a peer-reviewed online journal of clinical practice for audiologists speech-language pathologists and researchers.
