About Southeast Regional Library

Our mission is to provide the residents of southeastern saskatchewan with the resources and experiences that foster a lifetime of imagination discovery and learning. To that end we provide a variety of educational and recreational materials services and programs to the communities we serve. The materials we circulate to our patrons include: online streaming materials (e-books movies e-audiobooks e-comics tv shows music albums) books e-books dvds e-audiobooks online reference databases e-magazines. All materials are circulated free of charge across a network of 47 branches and cover a nearly all inclusive range of genres topics opinions and interests for children youth and adults. Ongoing programs include but are not limited to: author visits story hours toddler time infant 'lap time' book clubs after school clubs presentations computer training workshops health information instructional or informational classes saskatchewan library week events and celebrations aboriginal story telling month presenters summer reading club events and activities a virtual program with the provincial archives of saskatchewan a free tree giveaway program with neighbourhood forest dungeons & dragon kits continue to be available to patrons and our loanable wi-fi hotspots remain available to all southeast branches. Our new programs this year included three region-wide programs: art starts at the library - these are kits that were created to provide all of the tools necessary to host a program in one of three mediums: hand-built ceramics wool felting or linocut printing. A professional saskatchewan-based artist must be contacted to use the kits. Our goal with these kits is to encourage libraries to partner with local town recreation staff community groups and other organizations to bring arts and culture to their communities.
