The employment services program focuses on providing one to one employment counselling and consulting to individuals. The program offers a number of supports and employment preparedness classes based upon the needs of the individuals as well as group activities that are focused on attaining and sustaining employment. The employment services program offers the following free employability workshops several times per year; employment skills assessment self-management for work employability skills and job finding club. The purpose of the entrepreneurs with disabilities programs (edp) is to assist entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions to investigate self employment and to start maintain or grow their current business. Our business services incude: one-to-one business counselling montoring training resources. Disability accommodations services include: individualized support plans flexibility adaptive equipment. The supported independent living program (silp) ar ssilc operated by pairing consumers with intellectual disabilities from birth with support workers to guide the consumers on independent living skills so the consumer can live their own home for as long as possible. Business of living training provides basic life skills so our consumers can grow and thrive in our community. 2023-24 we piloted a community garden project called harvesting hope. The purpose was involve and educate our consumers in growing their own food. Teaching them how to decide what to plant how to plant and maintain a vegetable garden. At harvest time the produce was shared amongst the consumers and some was donated to the local food bank. The project was made possible by a grant received from the prairie food system vision network.
