South-East Grey Community Health Centre

The charity operated a community health centre focused on health promotion disease prevention and healthy equity. Programs included primary care services lgbttiqq2sa+ support pre/post-partum care and lactation support under the baby-friendly initiative. Poverty alleviation efforts included the community volunteer income tax program and food security programs like the yum program and community pantry. Mental health and social inclusion were supported through social groups like community café friday afternoon social and virtual programs such as check in and chat. Physical fitness programs including zumba tai chi yoga and pilates were also offered over the past fiscal year. We introduced new programs including line dancing cornhole english conversation classes for newcomers and a community gym with pickleball. Additionally we launched a midwifery program to provide specialized care and support for expectant and new mothers in the community.
