Some Assembly Arts Society

The Roundhouse Youth Theatre Action Group program brings together Metro Vancouver youth from a diversity of Canada’s cultural groups backgrounds and challenges with professional theatre artists in the collaborative creation and public performance of a new play every year that addresses a specific challenge identified by the youth participants. This program advances education in the arts builds community and engages youth with the community at large using theatre as the tool to inspire awareness and discussion of youth concerns issues and ideas. The professional artists mentor and guide the youth in script writing acting costumes set props lighting post-show workshop facilitation music promotion dramaturgy filmmaking and sound.
