Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology

We provide a number of youth engagement programs such as ms infinity (math & science and infinity of career choices) – to introduce girls to exciting career options and positive female role models in science and technology; e-mentoring to connect young women with scientific role-models; and quantum leaps conferences that the young women organize with templates support and seed funding from scwist. For new canadian immigrating women in stem (iwis) – scwist provides support and a community where stem-trained women can share their experience seek advice and broaden their networks as they build their careers in canada. Makepossible is an on-line platform to create opportunities for women in stem through mentorship networking professional development and leadership. Its development was part of the federal government’s (wage) initiative to attract and retain women in stem and advance the canadian digital economy. Scwist is building strong and vocal advocacy by reaching across canada and forming chapters and affiliates and strengthening partnerships with like-minded organizations. Scwist received a wage grant to address gender base violence in stem careers. Including receaching out to to stem companys to provide tool kits and training to address the issue.
