Collecting and digitizing photographs and historical information related to Georgeville and surrounding areas -Conducting archival research on local families and village history -Recording oral histories through video interviews with long-time residents -Maintaining the Bigelow Pioneer Garden -Organizing clean-ups at Oliver Corner Magoon Point and Stickney Cemetery cemeteries -Hosting guest speakers and offering online events -Publishing and distributing two newsletters annually featuring historical research -Maintaining and updating the Society’s website and Facebook page -Participating in Georgeville’s Canada Day celebrations -Annual donation to the Royal Canadian Legion and participation in local Remembrance Day ceremonies. -Operating seasonal public hours at the historic Georgeville United Church (May to October Tuesdays and Saturdays) Provided financial support budgeting assistance and project reporting for an independently produced and directed documentary film on the history of steam navigation on Lake Memphremagog. The project began in 2023 and is scheduled for release on May 10 2025 and was primarily funded by local municipalities and private donors. -One-time restoration and landscaping of the village cenotaph to address structural concerns and preserve its integrity.
