Soar Community Services

Services were provides in four broad sectors: housing justice employment and addictions and mental health. Housing programs consist of a homeless shelter and two transitional houses for youth. Justice programs consist of community based youth and adult programs focused on diversion/restitution and a residential facility for federal male offenders on various forms of release. Employment programs are offered to all ages and assist job seekers in preparation for employment as well as linking job seekers to employers. Addictions and mental health programs provide counseling and support to individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges and addictions. Housing programs expanded to include the housing resource centre and emergency shelter and intake services. Addictions and mental health programs expanded to include the 988 suicide prevention crisis line.
