Smithers & Area Housing Society

We co-operated with a Bottle Recycling depot and operated other recycling cardboard paper Styrofoam. We provide employment opportunities for individuals with mental & physical disabilities of challenges. In addition we raise awareness and provide education to the community about recycling. We are gathering information for building more low to moderate housing in the community with a focus on housing for individuals with mental and physical challenges. We provide a little low income housing now but are looking into purchasing and developing property permitting and legalities with providing more. We are gathering information for building more moderate senior housing in the community. We have purchased some land and are developing property permitting and legalities with providing more. We have purchase land in the town boundaries of Smithers and are in the process of looking into developing this land for low to moderate income housing as well as another parcel of land that we are developing into senior housing.
