Smh Comedy Society

SMH Comedy Society teaches stand up comedy to persons with mental illness as a means of fighting the stigma of mental illness building self-esteem and allowing the participants the ability to focus on what they can do rather than what they cannot. The course pairs individuals with mental illness to meet three hours once a week for a full year to study with trained counsellors and professional stand-up comedian instructors.
