Sloane's House Pediatric Recreation and Respite Care Centre Inc.

Sloane's house will be a facility located in durham region offering respite care to children. It will have 6 beds for overnight stays; a large common area for group interactions an accessible kitchen where meals can be prepared; multiple therapy rooms such as sensory treatment rooms games etc. These services can be used for as little as a few hours as long as three weeks for children between the ages of 0 and 18. In addition to respite care we will also offer therapeutic programs sibling support and support for the parents/caregivers. Our goal is to open doors in 2022/2023. Sloane's house is currently in the fundraising stage with a goal to raise $8 million for construction/retrofitting costs with an anticipated facility opening date of 2025/2026.
