Shuswap Lifeboat Society

Mission: saving lives on the water provide search & rescue services on shuswap & mara lakes. Promote water safety through public education and training. Personal floatation device (pdf) loaner kiosks located throughout the shuswap lakes as well as installation of life ring stations at public beaches and marine parks. School education program for grade 2 and 3 students in school district 83. Public event displays voluntary boating safety checks radio and newspaper ads in the spring summer and fall promoting water safety. Advertising in 'visitor information' annual publication about dial 9-1-1 for marine emergencies.
