Shoal Lake Community Foundation Inc.

We strive to raise awareness of the long term benefits to our community from our foundation’s endowment and legacy funds held and managed by the winnipeg foundation by participating in various community events throughout the year. . We also hold an annual open house on the 3rd saturday of nov (week of giving) which allows community members the opportunity to meet one on one with board members. Grants are provided to qualified donees based on need and community impact. Organizations receiving grants include recreational facilities playgrounds senior housing senior centres day care and emergency organizations. Grant decisions are made by our board which is made up of 11 individuals from various age groups. A bursary program has been established for graduates of shoal lake school. We also have a very active youth in philanthropy program at shoal lake school which we assist with.
