Seniors Outreach Services Society

For 35 years seniors outreach services society has provided a varity of social services for seniors and family caregivers to enhance their sense of belonging independence and well-being. While we advocate for all seniors we have a strong focus on reaching and supporting older adults living with vulnerabiliities in kelowna and region. We are a non-profit society and registered charity governed by a volunteers in our programs. Our services include information and navigational supports; transportation services; social recreation programs; friendly visiting and safety calls; food security projects; seniors housing navigator; social prescribing progrm; and educational workshops. The reach and variety of our social recreation programs was expanded in 2023 when we consolidated our resources and programs with the kelowna senior citizens' society of british columbia. In 2024 we initiated a new program aging in motion providing volunteer driving and bus excursions to allow and encourage low income seniors to access social opportunities and medical appointments.
